Meet Susan Leigh-Cooper

Welcome to my artistic journey! I'm Susan Leigh-Cooper, a passionate painter based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia. I share my life with my wonderful husband Andrew, an Ambo/Artist who's nearly finished his Fine Arts Degree and our inspiring daughter Gretta.

From a young age, I was captivated by sketching and the beauty of colour in the world around me. While I work in the disability field, a role I deeply love and that helps me guide my daughter, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for art. Encouraged by Andrew, I’ve returned to my true passion, particularly oil painting.

I love to experiment with different mediums, tools and styles, never confining myself to just one. For me, art is about freedom and exploration, and I enjoy painting a variety of subjects. By cutting back my work hours, I now have more time to create and share my art with others.
